Ronnie
James Dio is one of the biggest losses in Heavy Metal.
My deepest
thoughts go to Ronnie James Dios family, especially his wife Wendy, and all his close friends.
His music
will always live in our hearts, and his large legacy will keep our
memories alive: Dio the band, Rainbow, Elf, Hear & Aid, the greatest Black
Sabbath period, and finally Heaven & Hell.
He was
also known to be a great human being, with a lot of friends, and caring about each
one. I never ever heard anyone saying something wrong about him.
I never had the chance to meet the man himself, but some of my friends did, and they can tell about his kindness and good humour.
Nevertheless, I've been lucky enough to see him performing live
several times, between 2000 and 2009.
I had a lot of respect for him, musically and as a human being.
Dio, you
will be forever remembered, and I thank you for all the good music and all the
positive energy you have spread over the world!!
I haven't written yet all reviews of the Dio concerts I saw, but I will complete this section soon. It's my humble tribute to this exceptional human being, "Magic" Ronnie James Dio.
