Summer 2008Dahab
We stayed at a great hotel in Dahab, namely Le Méridien. I managed to have a discounted rate thanks to my job, so we spent a few calm days here, just relaxing. During the rest of the trip we didn’t stop moving and visiting places, so these were the day to relax. As the hotel was quite far from the Center we usually came back by taxi, and from the first day we met a very nice drier who also took us later to Ste Catherine Monastery and Taba.

Dahab is a party town. You don't believe me? Look what this pharmacy sells!
Dahab has also a waterfront full of tourist restaurants and shops. We took a walk there but didn’t stop for anything.

Instead, when you walk a bit through the inner city, you find inexpensive and great restaurants, where Egyptian people and not only tourists go to eat.

This is where we used to eat, and I can recommend this restaurant named the “Quicky”.
Food is good, juices are great and staff is so nice.

Take a loot at their super banana split!

They don’t sell any alcohol but you can bring your own.
