Summer 2008 Israel: Beit She'an
|
Between the party in Ashdod and the trip to the Galilee we spent a day in Tel Aviv and two in Jerusalem.
Then we headed to the north of the country, towards the Galilee and the Golan Heights.
We stopped in Beit Shean on our way to Tiberias. The town has some fine roman ruins but we didn’t stay there for a long time. |

Beit She'an is the ancient Hellenistic city of Scythopolis. Greek Mythology says it was founded by Dionysus and his nursemaid Nysa, so I bet those folks had great parties centuries ago. |
