After so many months of uncertainty, health issues and cancelled shows, it was a great pleasure to see Motörhead hit the sateg again.
Let's be objective: Lemmy was completely static during most of the show and we could hear he was breathless a few times.
Should they stop? Should we blame him? Of course not, on the contrary! Being on stage after all he's endured is extremely courageous. Lemmy remains true to himself, to his beliefs, and to the music that has guided all his life.
Fortunately he's got monstrous musicians with him, Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell, and he's still capable of generating a lot of emotions in the crowds. Ask Rob Halford from Judas Priest, he enjoyed the show from a side of the stage.
Like every Motörhead fan, I felt worried about the future of the band. It's true that their performances can't be as intense as they used to be, but it's a privilege to be able to see Motörhead these days, and I enjoyed every single moment of the show.
An old friend of Lemmy hit
the Mainstage 1 after him: The one and only, Alice Cooper!!
