Hisor (also known as Hissar or Gissar) is a great day trip out of Dushanbe.

The city is located in the Hissar Valley, just some 25 kilometres from Dushanbe.

Besides the Bazaar, it’s not the most interesting place in Tajikistan but... six kilometres away is the fabulous Hissar Fortress.
