Canada: Ottawa Hi Jail Hostel

Ever slept in jail without being a bad guy? Well that's possible in Canada!
The Jail has been turned into a Hostel, member of Hostelling International Association!

The Ottawa Hi-Jail Hostel is the cheapest place to sleep I found in this city, and it's a very good choice.

It's centrally located, near to the Paliament building and the bus station. There are several types of rooms, most of them are dorms. I got a 4 bed dorm, fully renovated and very clean.

On the picture on the left, you see a fence between the stairs. Those were made to prevent the prisoner from comitting suicide so don't worry, no ghost will haunt you here.

The big event I'm here for is Iron Maiden with Alice Cooper at the Ottawa Bluesfest.
Some members of the staff are Maiden fans and they made shure that the gig was announced.
Of course, I wasn't the only guest going to the show!
