We took the road again, this time to reach Mostar, at last.

We went down to the shores of the river, to see the clear water and the bridge from there. A local came to talk to us. At first we thought that he would be selling something or ask for some money, but no, he just wanted to talk. He told us about the war, about the horrific days he lived some years ago. His story was very sad, but he didn’t seem angry any more, he was looking to the future with optimism. I wish him all the best.

Down on the Neretva River we saw some kayaks passing through and… a guy who was ready to jump off the bridge! Every year there is a bridge jumping competition from Mostar’s Stari Most Bridge, but some young local divers jump any time of the year, sometimes for a bit of money. It was very impressive to see this young man dive from the 24 metes high bridge!
