Hotels are expensive everywhere in Norway and Flåm is no exception. We slept at the Flåm Marina & Apartments, which was the cheapest option besides the camping ground and the Flåm youth hostel.
Well, it was a great choice. Look at the breattaking view we had from our balcony.

One morning, as we went to the balcony, we found out that the view was spoiled by this large cruise ship!
It was surreal to see a ship of this kind here. It was the tallest building for miles around!
Cruise ships carry roughly between 1000 and 2500 passengers, while tiny Flåm has about 450 inhabitants...

Cruise ships play an important role in local economy.
