Here are some random pics of Tajikistan, some funny or exotic pictures of everyday's life.

Here's a walkway that turned into an icerink on that snowy day.

And that's what happens on the walkway when the snow begins to melt...

A stop sign... telling you to go forward! So, don't forget to learn cyrillic if you drive in Tajikistan!

Nostalgic about the Soviet Union? Then the USSR (????) newspaper is for you!

Tajikistan was part of a world superpower not so long ago, and now it's quite a poor country.
Some people regret soviet times, when most locals enjoyed higher standards of livings.
But, like all the former Soviet Republics, Tajiks fought for their freedom and they earned it.

No Mcdonalds in Tajikistan! Yet, this smiling Kangooroo has great shawarmas! Fast food Tajik-style!

Yet, there is one fast-food chain you can find, the SFC: South Fried Chicken, of coirse inspired by KFC.

I was missing my awful western food so I ordered a wrap menu. The fries were delicious, but the wrap was cold, the RC Cola (Tajik-style Pepsi) was warm and the whole thing wasn't really tasty.

I should have had another traditional Tajik meal!

Of course not all toilets are like the ones on the previous picture! But most of the time you'll find toilet paper made out of recyled paper.
I guess it's less expensive, and of course it's good for the environment... but it doesn't feel good when you use it!
