First time I had the idea to visit Macedonia was in year 2000, while attending a tourism fair in France.
The macedonian tourist office was promoting the country, and on one of the brochures they quoted colombian author Gabriel García Márquez's book "One Hundred Years of Solitude".
This can still be found on the Go Macedonia website.

Since then I've wanted to visit the country but I only had this chance in 2007.
