This the Church Of Our Lady Of Ljeviska (or Ljeviš). It's a Serbian Orthodox Church built in the 12th Century. The Ottomans turned it into a mosque but it became a church again in the early 20th Century. The church was severaly damaged during the 2004 Kosovo unrest and has been guarded by KFOR since then.
Those barbed wires all around the Church Of Our Lady Of Ljeviska are a very sad sight. The church is located on calm street, but peace gets disturbed when you get this kind of sight. I hope they'll manage to protect their cultural heritage and restore those monuments. Social Bookmarking Share on Facebook Bookmark Google Bookmark on Delicious Submit to Twitter
