Our hotel was located in the Izmaylovo district. The Izmaylovo Delta Hotel was one of the cheapest places we found providing visa support for a reasonable price, but I can’t say it was a good deal. It was OK, but we have slept in better places for less. Anyway, accomodation in Moscow is expensive, even Youth Hostels. It reflects the whole real estate market in the city. According to the Cost of living surveys from Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Moscow was the most expensive city in the world in 2006 and 2007.
The good news is that we were just besite Izmaylovo’s Open Air Museum, its “ Russian Podvorye”, and its flea market. It’s a really nice place that we might have not visited otherwise. |
