Performance:    5/5
Setlist:               5/5
Lights:               5/5
Sound:              5/5
Atmosphere:     5/5

I landed in Madrid only a few hours before this show, but even if I was tired after a long haul flight, I wasn't going to miss this exceptional concert from Dirkschneider and Anvil.

U.D.O. decided to rename his band as Dirkschneider for a series of shows playing only Accept songs one last time. This make sense, as U.D.O. has a catalogue full of great albums that definitely deserve more atention.

But perhaps he wasn't expecting that these Dirkshneider shows would be some of his most succesfull ever: playing large sold-out venues and extending the tour for far longer than initially expected. And for good reason, Dirkschneider totally kicks ass!
The setlist is a collection of incredible songs where you simply can't stop headbanging and singing! From old favourites to obscure tracks, this blast from the past was one of the most incredible concerts I've seen from the U.D.O. / Accept camp.

The performance was just faultless and the audience was unchained. Everybody knew every song and we all wanted more.
Perhaps something from Objection Overruled, which is a great album, would have been much appreciated.

Will this memorable tour be last one from U.D.O. perfoming Accept songs? It's likely that Udo will keep his word, but after all... should he do it after the reaction he's getting?
My guess is that U.D.O. will continue perfoming their own songs, but Dirkschneider should go on with Accept tunes. That would be 2 bands in one, something like Rage and Refuge, except that all members are the same. I can deal with that!
It doesn't matter that Accept is active, doing new albums and perfoming old song too. I'd still continue to go to Accept, U.D.O. and Dirkscheider shows.
