As you know, Jeff Hanneman suffered from a very serious illness due to a spider bite. All Slayer fans around the world wish he gets well soon! I hope he will recover promply so the Slayer War Machine will be ready for the Big 4 Festivals next summer.
Gary Holt from Exodus replaced Jeff for most of the tour. But Gary had to fly to Chile because Exodus was scheduled to play with Iron Maiden on April 10.
So, in Prague, it was Pat O'Brien from Cannibal Corpse who was standing on Jeff Hanneman's place.

Seeing Slayer without Hanneman feels strange. He's part of the sould of the band.
Also, Slayer is a band that has maintained a very stable line-up throughout its carrer. Only drummer Dave Lombardo has left twice the band. Otherwise, Slayer members remain the same since the begining.

In any case, Pat O'Brien did a great job by learning all the fast rythm parts of Hanneman as well as his tortured solos. He even plays them more technically, which fits well into Slayer's sound, but one can feel it's not the original.

Slayer's setlist included some quite rare songs like Silent Scream and The Antichrist. I was also very very pleased to hear Black Magic, one of my all-time favourite Slayer songs.
