They day before I saw people working on the stage after Judas Priest, and I saw that Saxon had brought their own light show. Yes, I’m talking about the Eagle! It was a surprise for me and I didn’t expect it, but it’s always a pleasure to see Saxon with it. It's been 5 years since the last time I saw Saxon with the Eagle, so I was really excited to find it again at the Sweden Rock Fest! |
Saxon were playing between Whitesnake and Def Leppard. So we had a pure heavy metal band between two hard rock bands. |
Saxon was another big moment of the Sweden Rock Festival. |
Saxon hit the Rock Stage just after Whitesnake, starting with Attila The Hun. |
Biff said “I’m very proud that the last 3 singers of today are all from Yorkshire. Mr Elliot, Mr Coverdale and Mr Bifford. It might not mean a lot to you, but it means a lot to me”. And he’s right, British hard rock and heavy metal bands that started in the 70’s still rock and without any doubt are some of the best in the world! |
Surprisingly, the Eagle didn’t came down during the classic The Eagle has landed. They didn’t even play that song, but I won’t complain, the set list was absolutely amazing. |
A full Saxon show lasts at least two hours. Here we had an hour and a half show which is great for a festival where normally concerts are shorter. Once again, Saxon didn’t disappoint. They played an excellent concert and brought a big show. Share on Facebook Bookmark Google |
