Gerrit P. Mutz from Sacred Steel live at the Bang Your Head



Sacred Steel was the first band I saw playing at the Bang Your Head!!! 2010. This was also my first Sacred Steel concert.

They play a good Heavy / Speed / Power Metal and made a very enjoyable show, but the sound wasn't really good.

The guys of Sacred Steel are really good musicians! Jonas Khalil and Jens Sonnenberg are a great pair of guitarrists, and the rythm section is fast and strong.
I guess the band would be more famous if the music was less traditional, and if they didn't have this "Manowarish" name and image...

The setlist was well chosen: it included songs from every Sacred Steel record.
They played two songs from their latest album Carnage Victory, two songs from the classic Wargods Of Metal, and one from each other record.

Jonas Khalil from Sacred Steel live at the Bang Your Head Sacred Steel also honoured DIO with a great cover version of Rainbow's Kill The King. Also, singer Gerrit Mutz was wearing a DIO T-shirt.

Sacrd Steel's concert was a very nice show to start the festival.
Now it was time for a legend's come back: Hades!
