Third concert for me from Paul DiAnno’s French Tour 2010, after the joke concert at a Santeny restaurant and the great gig at Vitry Le François .

Paul DiAnno played in Vauréal, a city north of Paris where several rock and metal concerts have been organized in recent years.

Since Paul DiAnno’s tour didn’t stop in Paris, many Iron Maiden fans from the capital came to this show.

The sound was a bit less good than for the previous week’s show at Vitry Le François , but the energy of the audience was without comparison!

The atmosphere was absolutely electric, with everyone singing the songs and headbanging from the beginning to the end of the show.

Paul DiAnno’s band for that tour was The Stars, a local band from Southern France.
Once again, the sound wasn’t great, and some people in the audience blamed The Stars, Paul DiAnno’s band.
I don't think that's fair. Those folks made their best as a Paul DiAnno backing band.
And if you play an instrument, well, you know that Iron Maiden songs are quite easy to play... but make them sound like Iron Maiden would, it's VERY difficult.

Several songs from the first two Iron Maiden albums were included in the setlist. It was a real pleasure to hear some songs that Maiden don't play anymore, such as Prowler and Killers.

It also was greatful to hear tunes like Iron Maiden, Wratchild or Running Free withe the original singer.

Paul was in a very good mood today ad did a lot of jokes when introducing the songs.
He introduced Murders in the Rue Morgue as "a song by Lady Gaga" (Well, actually she's an Iron Maiden fan...) and Transylvannia as "Transexual".

For Remember Tormorrow, he talked first as a song by the Spice Girls but then, on a more serious note, Paul dedicated it to his grandfather.

The Beast Arises was dedicated to his "puta" ex-wife. By the way, they filled the riff of AC/DC's Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and it sounded great!.

There were rumors about this being Paul DiAnno's last tour.
I questioned him about this at the end of the show and he responded "I might do one more" with a big smile on his face!.

No need to go far for the next time, Paul DiAnno played in Paris the next year!
