I had bee waiting for this motent for quite a long time... Morbid Angel reunited long ago with David Vincent, but his was the first time I had the chance to see them. And as I've never seen Genitorturers, it was the first time I was watching David Vincent on stage. I don't need to tell you how excited I was! I grew up with albums like Altars Of Madness and Covenant, so this was something very special for me. |

Morbid Angel played at one of the side stages of the Graspop festival. Sadly, Ministry was playing at the same time, so I missed the first 2 Morbid Angel songs. Lights were OK but the sound was not so good. But that was the case for most bands that played at this stage. |

It's really impressive to see David Vincent on stage, he's got a unique imposing attitude attitude and is a great frontman. Pill Sandoval's thundering drums were amazing. He's fast and technical, one of the best drummers in Death Metal. |

Trey Azagthoth's tortured guitar solos drove the audience crazy! I consider his as one of the most creative guitar players in metal. Thor Anders Myhren is the new member of the band. He's fits perfectly, regarding both music and attitude. After this Death Metal discharge, I went to see if Judas Priest, hoping they'll play a better gig than in Sweden... |
