Metallica Ticket for the Trabendo show in Paris - June 11 2003

On June 11 2003 Metallica did something amazing!
The album St Anger got out on this day, and the band decided to celabrate this by making 3 concerts on the same day in the same city!

And the city was Paris!!

The 3 gigs were schedules on small venues: one at La Boule Noire (2pm), the second at the Bataclan (6pm) and the third one at the Trabendo (10pm).

These are all small venues and tickets were hard to get, all shows were sold out within minutes.
I couldn't get a ticket for the Trabendo show. It was hard, but I managed to do it!

So, I knew this was going to be an amazing experience! Hey, watching Metallica on a small 400-people club is for sure something special!.

Lots of people were trying to get in, and even offering up to 200€ for a ticket (which originally costed 25€)

There was no particular stage set and lights were the minimum a good band can have. But this wasn't a problem for anyone.
Metallica was playing in a small club and that's enough to make evrybody happy!

They started the show with Blackened and that's already something to remember!

They included some classics as Master Of Puppets, Enter Sandman, Creeping Death and One.

They also played one new song: St Anger, and that's actually the only time I've heard Metallica playing something from the St Anger album.

The last song was Hit The Lights, something I really didn't expect.

The concert was short, it lasted only one hour, but it was absolutely magic.

Lars Ulrich and Metal Traveller And the best part, at the end I met Lars, Kirk and Robert. (Yes, it's still me on the pictures, but with short hair...)

James went to sleep but the others went to party all night long! Hey, it's everyday that you put a new album out!
Kirk Hammett and Metal Traveller My second Metallica concert remains an unforgettable memory... and I know how lucky I am: I'll probably never see Metallica again on a so small club.
