ROCK OF AGES FESTIVAL
A September To Remember
Palasharp - Milan, Italy
September 13, 2008

Rock Of Ages, A September To Remember - Milan, Rock Of Ages festival, September 13 2008 Twisted Sister is one of the best live acts in rock music.
They don’t tour that often, so when I saw that they were playing in Europe in the summer of 2008, I thought that it would be a great idea to go a show.
Volareweb A320 in Milan Malpensa I choose the Milan Rock Of Ages / A September To remember for 3 reasons:
1- The bill was great, with 3 bands I had never seen.
2- Low cost airlines make it cheap to fly from my hometown to Milan.
3- I’ve got two great friends living in Northern Italy and a few in Southern France, so we would all meet there.
Twisted Sister shirts - Rock Of Ages festival, September 13 2008 Extreme's show was announced as the only european show for 2008. Finally they did a tour after that, but it still was Extreme's first European show in more than a decade.

Gotthard was scheduled to play but they cancelled at short notice, just a few days before the festival. Bad luck.
Some sleep everywhere... Milan, Rock Of Ages festival, September 13 2008 Most of my friends went to the RaismesFest in Northern France. Saxon, Gamma Ray, Uli Jon Roth and other bands were playing there but I prefered to go to the Rock Of Ages.

From the five bands playing I had seen only two before. Twisted Sister is like no other on stage, Duff McKagan is a legend, I had a lot of expectations for Extreme and Quireboys is a band I love... so for me there was no hesitation.
Milan, Rock Of Ages festival, September 13 2008 I caught a low cost Volareweb flight, slept at Ricardo's place, and ejoyed a great week end. Moreover, my birthday was two days before, so let's say it was my birthday party.

Enjoy the pictures, the reviews and the setlists!

Bands: Pino Scotto / Quireboys / Duff McKagan's Loaded / Extreme / Twisted Sister.
