Our EasyJet plane landed at 11 at Milan’s Linate Airport and we went straight to the Stadio Brianteo of Monza.

Backyard Babies were playing when we arrived to the Gods Of Metal, so sadly we missed their show.
We also missed Voivod and Lauren Harris who were playing earlier.

The first band we saw on that warm Saturday afternoon was Epica.
What can I say? Simone Simmons is one of the most beautiful women in rock music, but her beauty is not enough to make me like the band.

Their sound wasn’t really good, they keyboards were very unbalanced compared to the other instruments.
The musicians headbang on stage and Simone is very charismatic.

It’s a nice show to see, but less nice to listen.

The band sounds far much better on studio.

After them, Marty Friedman took the CrüeFest Stage.
