Lots of German metal bands are visiting Paris in october, and I don't think anyone is complaining about that!
Edguy two days earlier, Doro tonight, and U.D.O. the following week.

It's been 5 years since Doro's last visit to Paris! That is sooo long!
It was at La Locomotive, back in May 2006.

Now the Metal Queen was back at a small venue called L'Alhambra. It was the first time for me in this place.

What a pleasure to see Doro on stage! She's a real performer, so full of energy and good vibes.

Seeing Doro in concert is about rocking and having a ood time. She just can't stop headbanging and giving the microphone so the people in the front to make them scream. And they screamed loud, the response of the audience was great tonight!

Doro loves France! She learned few sentences in French that really pleased the audience.
In return someone screamed "Ich Liebe Dich" (I love you in German) and she replied "Ich liebe euch!" (I love you all).

Even better, someone brought her flowers and gave her while on stage!

She dedicated the song You're my Family to her fans.

Doro recalled her first time in Paris, when she was on tour opening for Judas Priest in 1986.
Coincidentially, the gig in Paris was on October 20 1986, 25 years earlier, almost day by day.
That's how she introduced a cover song of the Priest classic Breaking The Law.

As a tribute to Ronnie James Dio, she covered Egypt (The Chains Are On).

Before playing Wacken's song We Are The Metalheads, she also talked about the Hellfest, a great Metal Festival in Western France where Doro played this year.
Doro setlist was good but the concert seemed just too short... 1 hour and 40 minutes is actually quite long, but it happened so fast!
Doro didn't wanted to go at the end of the show, she wanted to play more, but there was a strict curfew at the Alhambra.

The band knew about this curfew before, so I think they should have skipped the drum solo and play one or two more songs instead.

The drum solo was OK. It even included parts or Iron Maiden's Run To The Hills and KISS' I love It Loud, but a couple more songs would have been more enjoyable.

We had one new song called Raise Your Fist, from Doro's upcoming album. We'll have to wait until 2012 to hear the studio version of this brand new metal hymn.

Of course there was one song that everyone was waiting for: All We Are!
The guys from Merendine, the opening band, were invited on stage to sing along. Everyone at the Alhambra was singing as loud as possible!

Next week, a friend of Doro will be playing in Paris: Former Accept frontman Udo Dirkschneider !
