Time for the headliner of Sweden Rock’s 2008 second night: Def Leppard. |

But in Sweden Rock it’s different and for me it’s a great news: I could see Whitesnake during daylight which gives a different atmosphere to the show, and I could see a Def Leppard full headlining show…Last time I saw Def leppard headlining a concert was more then 11 years before, in Bogotá, Colombia in 1997. |

The PA was airing AC/DC’s “For Those about To Rock” as the lights went down and Joe Elliot appeared on stage and screamed “Guitar! Drums!!” …and they begin their set with Rocket. That’s an amazing intro and really gets you in the mood! They had an amazing light show on that song, with classic lights but also lasers. |

I saw the show from the left side (right side of the stage) in front of Vivian Campbell and Rick Savage, but all the musicians move a lot around the stage so I also saw Joe Elliot and Phill Collen very close. It was an absolute “Best Of” show. They played songs from their latest album like Mirror Mirror, but also their classics, like Animal, Love Bites, Hysteria, Rock On, Foolin’ or Make Love Like a Man. |

Amazing audience, amazing light, amazing show…I think it was probably my favourite concert from the whole festival, along with the ones from Testament, Hanoi Rocks and Poison. |

Then came the encore with one single song, a great one to end the show: Let’s Get rocked. After that unbelievable day, I really was tired and had to get back to my tent, but I had my head full of great songs and moments that I’ll never forget! |
