Francis Rossi from Alice Cooper at the Zénith in Paris France

Only 3 days after his mind-blowing show in Toulouse, Alice Cooper was in Paris for the No More Mr Nice Guy Tour.
It's been 6 years since the last Alice Cooper show in town. Last time he played at the Olympia, on the 2005 Dirty Diamonds Tour.

Wille and the Bandits at the Zénith in Paris France

The Zénith of Paris is larger than the one in Toulouse.

The place was almost sold-out, which is great news: maybe this means that France is finally becoming a rock country?

The begining of the show is great: A curtain covers the stage and when the lights come out, we hear the Vincent Price Intro from Welcome To My Nightmare. As the curtain falls, the first song starts: The Black Widow.

Feed my Frankenstein

This was a high quality show, and as usual very theatrical.
The previous Alice Cooper Tour, The Theater Of Death tour, was more "in your face", as Alice was "killed" every few songs.

This tour is more subtile. Alice only gets killed once, when he's decapitated, but something happens during most of the songs.

Andy Bown and Rhino Edwards enjoying their time in Paris with Alice Cooper

All the usual Alice Cooper gimmicks were here: the crutch during I'm Eighteen, the 100$ bills during Billion Dollar Babies, and the guillotine just before I Love The Dead.

Only the nurse was missing but Calico Cooper, Alice's daughter, was not performing on this tour.

Alice even performed with a living boa during Is It My Body. That was a cool surprise, he didn't bring a snake on stage in Toulouse.

Only Women Bleed: Alice Cooper kissing his doll

A huge monster came walking on stage during Feed my Frankenstein, just like Eddie does on Iron Maiden shows. It was surprising and quite impressive!

While singing Only Women Bleed, Alice danced with a human sized doll, that he brutalized during the next song, Cold Ethyl.

He came with a sword during Halo Of Flies, and stabbed an actor dressed as a paparazzi during Wicken Young Man.

During the song Clones, 3 band members wore a mask with the spider Alice Cooper make-up: Chuck Garric, Glen Sobel and Tommy Henriksson.
Tommy and Chuck walked the stage like robots.

Next to the drums, two actors were wearing masks with Alice Cooper's regular make-up, all of them playing Alice Cooper's clones.

Alice's garderobe must be quite impressive. He wore at least 6 different jackets on stage. By the way, when they played I'll Bite Your face Off, he had a jacket with the words "New Song" written on the back..

Rhino Edwards and Andy Bown at the Zénith in Paris, live with Alice Cooper The setlist was exactly the same as in Toulouse, and will probably remain the same for the rest of the tour.

The cool thing with Alice Cooper is that he manages to change several songs from one tour to the next, and of course, most of the all-time classics are always included.

But I don't know why this tour was called No More Mr Nice Guy: Alice Cooper just released a brilliant album called Welcome 2 My Nightmare and I don't think they're promoting it as they should.

They only play one song of the new album, and 3 from the original Welcome To My Nightmare.

Will they do a proper tour for the new album? I really hope so! This album deserves a real tour! Welcome 2 My Nightmare is one of my favourites albums from 2011 and it was frustrating to get only one song.

Moreover, the band has a first class line-up right now, with three great guitar players: the young and talented Orianthi, the crazy Tommy Henriksen, and the unrivaled Steve Hunter from the classic 70's.

There was only one song for the encores, and that was Elected.

Alice brouht not only his flagg of France, but also a white and blue stripped shirt, with the logo of the FFF (French Football Federation).

Definitely, Alice Cooper is someone who knows how to please his fans!

Tonight the atmosphere was outstanding and the show was just great!

It's just incredible to observe that Alice is still doing great after all these years.

Next concert for me will be Volbeat.
